Gold Series 4: My Verdict

Generation Force: Cards to look out for

Hey. Sorry i have not posted in a week. I'm about to post a video on Gold series 4 explaining why i've been busy.

Anyway. I've looked through the upcoming set. I've decided to post my top 5 choices. Keep in mind that some of the TCG exclusives have not been announced yet, if its not mentioned here (Look at the date this was posted or something).

OK, Here we go:

5. Ghost Ship


Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. You can banish 1 LIGHT monster from your graveyard to special summon this card from your hand.

This card actually looks to be very good. In decks like Agents, where they remove a lot, this card seems like a nice fit. This card's main aim is to xyz summon Tiras though.

4. Steelswarm roach


Effect: You can Detach one xyz material from this monster to negate the special summon of a level 5 or higher monster, and destroy it.

This card is very easy to summon, and it's effect makes it hard to get over for your opponent. It makes synchro summoning off limits, and since it negates the summon, stardust can't stop it. It also stops other common cards like Cyber dragon. An overall really good card.

3. Empty space sea serpent levaiel



Effect: Once per turn, you can detach one xyz material from this card to target one level 4 or lower banished monster, and special summon it to your field.

This card looks to be very handy in quite a few decks. It allows for multiple xyz/synchro summons in one turn, and allows you to re-use many cards (Plaguespreader, Birdman). This card shines in infernities too since they can easily bring it out, and one of their only faults was having their monsters banished which this card takes care of. This card can also get your opponent's banished monsters, too.

2. Wonder wand

Effect: Equip only to a Spellcaster-type monster. It gains 500 ATK. You can send this card and the equipped monster to the graveyard to draw 2 cards.

This card is simply amazing. It gives Spellcaster decks a nice boost, and competitively, it helps Gravekeepers a whole lot (Especially if you can't afford the Dualities). I doubt you will be using the first effect though, but it's still an extraordinary card. Expect this card to be the Core set secret rare.

1. Tyras, Keeper of Genesis


Effect: This card's effects cannot be activated or applied if there are no xyz materials on this card. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. After this card has battled, target 1 card your opponent controls, and destroy the target. During each of your end phases, detach 1 xyz material from this card.

This card is amazing. for 2 turns, you have an incredible monster that, in this current game, does so much. It cannot be destroyed by card effects, which means DARK HOLE, MIRROR FORCE and many other annoying cards cannot kill it. When your opponent realises it, they will attack it. You use some protection to save your monster, and now he gets to destroy one of your opponent's cards. And with 2600 attack, it gets over most problems.

How do you summon it though. You need 2 level 5 monsters. Well think about it, we have a lot of level 5 cards that are easy to summon.
- Cyber dragon (Duh)
- The Tricky
- And the new Ghost Ship

Expect all 5 of these cards to have some impact (Maybe not Ghost ship since its only for making tyras).

Currently trying to get some chaos deck to work at the moment.
